ACCLIMATORY GARDEN AND LOUIS VUITTON FOUNDATION

Meet at the Jardin d´Acclimatation, a small natural paradise that stretches its 20 hectares in the heart of the Bois de Boulogne and which hosts the Louis Vuitton Foundation.
The Louis Vuitton Corporate Foundation, formerly “Louis Vuitton Corporate Foundation for Creation”, launched in October 2006, was created by the “LVMH – Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton” group and its houses. Its objective is to promote art and culture and to perpetuate the patronage actions undertaken since 1990 by the group.

If you don’t feel like taking your car, yourwalk can start at Porte Maillot, where you can board the little train that makes a 1.6 km loop connecting Porte Maillot and the Jardin d’Acclimatation.

A place to stroll since its creation in 1860, the capital’s green lung, inspired by Hyde Park, the Jardin d’Acclimatation de Paris has a remarkable heritage of more than 1,800 trees. Almost 160 years after the pencil of the landscape painter of Napoleon III made its last line, the Garden returns to its large original ellipse, the Allée Alphand, as drawn by Barillet-Deschamps. You will be seduced by its poetic curve inspired by “charming London”, by its undulation, by the alternation of essences and heights. The river is clear throughout its course and its banks bordered by cherry trees become idyllic places for visitors to stroll.

The Jardin d’Acclimatation, with its many play areas, is a paradise for children. They can ride on the back of a donkey, pony or camel, train on the acrobatic course, navigate with you on the enchanted river, have fun in the village of rides which offers twenty attractions including mountains russians, and applaud the Guignol Theater, one of the favorite activities of the little ones. While your toddlers will applaud the puppets, take the time to admire the sumptuous hall of this magnificent theater, now housed in the large, recently renovated Napoleon III stables.

As you continue your walk, discover all the activities of the Jardin d’Acclimatation: the vegetable garden, the deer rock, the educational apiary and its 240,000 bees, an equestrian center, the bandstand, educational workshops for children, the large aviary which accommodates 200 birds, and the small Norman farm and its hundred animals: oxen, Suffolk sheep, giant rabbits from Flanders, sheep from Cameroon, chickens, roosters… and even European bison or llamas.
